The enemies of talk radio are firmly in control of the White House and Congress. Sen. Chuck Schumer and his fellow Democrats are promising an all-out attack on talk radio. With a new "Fairness Doctrine" backed by an Obama White House, political talk, as we know it, will end. If these forces of darkness win, Rush, Imus, Hannity, Savage, Beck, and dozens of other major hosts will be muzzled by using federal regulations to control political talk. So, what's their plan of attack? This editor believes that TalkRadio like Limbaugh,Hannity and other rightwing,phony conservatives actually helped destroy the Republican Party in the 2008 election. The christian rightwingnuts virtually contaminated the entire political theatre to the point where the term (R) became taboo. After the Coolidge /Hoover era republicans became so out of fashion that the Three Stooges used a line in one of their shorts,"Last One In Is A Republican!". Some local ranters in Lubbock like Robert Pratt and Chad Hasty are as repulsive as Limbaugh,Hannity and Bill O'Reilly. This editor believes music radio should come back and the TalkRadio era should fade into the past with 8-track tapes and BetaMax recorders.
