Stephen Baldwin estate goes on auction block

NEW YORK – Actor Stephen Baldwin's foreclosed home in the suburbs north of New York City will be publicly auctioned. Baldwin paid $515,000 for the 1.4-acre home in Rockland County in 1997. In 2006, he tried unsuccessfully to sell it. County filings show Baldwin and his wife Kennya defaulted on more than $824,000 in payments to mortgage holder Bankers Trust Co. Stephen Baldwin,Alec Baldwin's brother,will bid adieu to a homes he spent $500,000+ on. He had $820,000 in mortgage payments due to it's unclear how much he had invested in the 1.4 acre estate. This editor has 1.3 acre place and it's pretty good sized. Another entertainer's estate up for auction.

Letterman re-read the jokes and several were in bad taste. He has writers that do the jokes and he didn't proof read or thought they were harmless. I heard the Palin "Top 10" on the original show and thought the "Slutty Airline Attendant Make-Up" joke was over the line. Some years ago Geraldine Ferraro was a VP candidate and was landslided and she was a "latenight" jokefest for several months. Sarah Palin needs to accept that the McCain/Palin ticket was soundly defeated and comedians use loser politicians for jokes. I agree on Letterman being pathetic and Paul Shaffer(bandleader) makes Doc Severinson look like a legend. Late night with Letterman or Conan is really unentertaining.

Before we all fall over ourselves sympathizing with this shrill and unsavory woman, let us remember that it was SHE who continually pushed her children onto the national stage, and SHE who seemed to glory in the fact that her 17-year-old was pregnant without benefit of marriage, hardly acceptable in most Christian homes. It was SHE who flew her children around the country at taxpayer and Republican Party expense. When you inject your children into your blind ambition, don't be surprised if they get attacked along the way!

I agree with both these views that Letterman was "offbase" but Palin did overplay her "losing hand" using her family in a stillborn campaign.
